Workshop was chaired by Ms. Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor, CBC, Govt of India & anchored by the Task Force on Post-Excellence Institutional Leadership & Mentorship Pathways, constituted following the National Workshop on Future Readiness of Civil Services Training Institutions held in December 2025. Ms. Mukherjee, along with her team, called on the Chief Secretary to the Govt of Assam, Dr Ravi Kota, yesterday in Guwahati to discuss strengthening institutional capacity for civil services training, with a focus on digital & AI-enabled learning systems. The meeting was held in the backdrop of the Eastern & North-Eastern Regional Consultative Workshop for Training Institutes, scheduled the following day (today) at AASC, Guwahati. The discussions focused on aligning State and Central Training Institutes with the NSCSTI, including greater adoption of blended learning, e-learning models, and the iGOT Karmayogi platform to support continuous and competency-based learning. Addressing the participants at the workshop today, Principal Advisor, CBC stated that as institutions progress under National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions (NSCSTI) framework, it is important to clearly define how institutional maturity can contribute to strengthening the overall training ecosystem. Regional consultations such as this help ensure that post-accreditation pathways are practical, balanced, and responsive to diverse institutional contexts. The deliberations focused on post-accreditation priorities, including structured institutional leadership, sustainable mentorship frameworks, and clearly defined pathways for CoE, with an emphasis on scalability, accountability, and ecosystem integration. The regional inputs will inform the Task Force’s final framework and support the Capacity Building Commission in strengthening institutional leadership and capacity-building systems under Mission Karmayogi. Welcoming the participants, Shri Deba Prasad Misra, Director (Training), AASC, said that it is a matter of pride for Assam that the State has been chosen to host this regional consultative workshop of the Capacity Building Commission for the first time. AASC, Guwahati remains committed to playing an active & constructive role in advancing the objectives of the Commission & in supporting institutional capacity building across the Eastern & North-Eastern region, he said.
