A workshop on the preparation of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) for all departments of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration was conducted by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing (AR&Trg.), Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India, at the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram, on 18th June 2026.
The workshop aimed to sensitize departments on the development of comprehensive Capacity Building Plans using iGOT-AI to identify and address competency gaps among government officials through targeted learning interventions available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
The programme commenced with an inaugural address by Shri Satnam Singh, IAS Secretary (AR&T), Andaman & Nicobar Administration, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and capacity building for enhancing governance and public service delivery.
Ms. Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor, Capacity Building Commission, delivered the virtual keynote address, she highlighted the transformative role of Mission Karmayogi and the importance of competency-driven capacity building in the civil services.
The technical session was conducted by Mr. Uzair Simnani, Programme Coordinator, Capacity Building Commission, New Delhi, who provided hands-on training to departmental representatives on the use of iGOT-AI for developing customized and department-specific Capacity Building
Plans.
