Ms. Uma S, Advisor, Quality Assurance of Capacity Building Commission facilitated a session on Online Learning, Content Creation, and the Use of AI in Training for faculty across CDTIs, CAPT, and BPR&D

As part of the the Faculty Development Programme on “Methods and Approaches in Police Training” organised by the Bureau Of Police Research And Development at Central Detective Training Institute, Ghaziabad on 24th April, 2026, Ms. Uma S, Advisor, Quality Assurance of Capacity Building Commission facilitated a session on Online Learning, Content Creation, and the Use of AI in Training for faculty across CDTIs, CAPT, and BPR&D.

The session focused on strengthening instructional design through a Training-to-Work approach - helping trainers rethink learning from the perspective of real field decisions, recurring judgement challenges, and workplace application.

The session was anchored in the Karmayogi Quality Framework (KQF), and the discussion highlighted the principle of “Quality by Design” - where training begins not with content, but with work. Participant groups redesigned their own modules in real time, anchoring learning in field tasks, and the decisions that actually matter in practice.

Participants also explored how digital learning, iGoT-enabled content, and AI-supported design can make training more modular, scalable, and practice-oriented, while ensuring that learning remains grounded in the realities of policing and public service delivery.

Quality learning begins with the right design.
