Brainstorming Workshop with Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change

Capacity Building Commission hosted a ‘Brainstorming Workshop on Capacity Building Plan for Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India

 

40+ participants from stakeholder organizations (Directorate of Forest Training Education (DFE), Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IFNFA), Central & State Forest Training Intuitions) deliberated with domain experts from Wildlife Institute of India, Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment, Hiware Bazar on issues of enhancing capacity of Central and State Forest Services.

 

Breakout sessions lead by Domain experts covered various topics such as

• Community participation in forest conservation,

• Forest and wildlife laws,

• Enhancing governance and faculty development,

• Field good practices in re-wilding natural forest

• Wildlife human conflict mitigation

 

The workshop focused on building Integrated approach towards capacity building of forest services.
