The third batch of DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession and Harmony), a flagship leadership development programme for senior executives of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)

The third batch of DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession and Harmony), a flagship leadership development programme for senior executives of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), was inaugurated today by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, at the SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi.

The programme is jointly organised by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) as part of the larger Mission Karmayogi framework.

Key dignitaries in the event were the Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Shri K. Moses Chalai; Chairperson, Capacity Building Commission, Ms. S. Radha Chauhan; Member (Administration), Capacity Building Commission, Dr. Alka Mittal; Chairman, SCOPE and CMD, NBCC, Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy; Dean, Indian School of Business, Shri Madan Pillutla; Director General, SCOPE, Shri Atul Sobti; Vice Chairman, SCOPE and CMD, Goa Shipyard Limited, Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, along with senior government officials, CPSE leadership and participants of the DAKSH programme.

Conceptualised jointly by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and SCOPE, DAKSH is an evidence-based, scientifically designed, 12-month leadership development programme that draws upon cognitive psychology, behavioural sciences, and contemporary leadership research to nurture future-ready leaders who are visionary, strategic, and purpose-driven. The programme seeks to build a strong and self-sustaining leadership pipeline for India's Central Public Sector Enterprises, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

A particularly encouraging feature of Batch 3 is the significant increase in women participants, with 10 women among the 70 participants—a notable rise over the previous batches. This reflects the growing emphasis on women-led development and reinforces the spirit of Nari Shakti in shaping the future leadership of India's public sector.

The Capacity Building Commission and SCOPE extend their best wishes to all participants as they embark on this transformative leadership journey.
