Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission participated in the National IP Conference 2022, chaired by Hon'ble CIM Shri Piyush Goyal. The conference was jointly organized by Capacity Building Commission and Office of The Controller General of Patents, Designs And Trademarks.

The conference bought together policy makers, IP officers, creators, and practitioners on one platform to discuss futuristic IP challenges related to developmental issues.

Speaking during the conference, Hon'ble CIM Piyush Goyal said innovation is that one defining characteristic that has always pushed mankind forward and the key factor that would determine the fate of the country.

He urged patent office to setup interactions of patent offices with applicants and stakeholders through video conferencing to take inputs from IP practitioners and public.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary, CBC stressed on the need to streamline the IPR granting mechanism through capacity building of key functionaries, which would be a key to meet the needs of growing intellectual capital in the nation.
