Under #MissionKarmayogi, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), in collaboration with the Department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Government of Andhra Pradesh, and with the support of the Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA), organized a one-day #CapacityBuilding Workshop for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) at the School of Planning & Architecture Vijayawada.

The workshop brought together 175+ officials from 123 ULBs and key urban departments—including MEPMA, Public Health, and Town Planning.

Participants were introduced to the #iGOTKarmayogi platform to foster a culture of continuous learning for citizen-centric governance, and professional development. The discussions helped identify key training needs and priority areas for skilling ULB officials to drive better outcomes on the ground.

The workshop was graced by the presence of Shri Sureshkumar S Nair, I.A.S. (Principal Secretary, MA & UD, Andhra Pradesh); Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Admin), Capacity Building Commission; Smt. V. Lalithalakshmi, I.A.S. (Secretary, CBC and CEO, Karamayogi Bharat); and Dr. P. Sampath Kumar, I.A.S. (Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration).

This initiative is a step toward building a resilient, future-ready urban workforce, aligned with the vision of #SwarnaAndhra2047.
