On 25th July 2025, a landmark MoU was signed between the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Karmayogi Bharat, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, in the presence of the Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh. An MoU between MGSIPA and Chandigarh Administration was also formalized to further the goals of Mission Karmayogi in the region.
Ms. V. Lalithalakshmi, IAS, Secretary, CBC and CEO, Karmayogi Bharat, emphasized the importance of mandatory annual course completions on the iGOT Karmayogi platform and informed about its linkage with APARs, as directed by DoPT. She also highlighted the new scoring framework that assesses Ministries/Departments on their capacity building progress.
Sh. Shyama Prasad Roy, Joint Secretary, CBC, introduced the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program, a behavioural training initiative, and urged for early identification of Master Trainers in Chandigarh to enable its rollout before 15th August 2025.
Ms. Alka Mittal, Member (Admin), CBC, joined the event virtually and lauded Chandigarh Administration for onboarding over 25,000 officials, enrolling in 1,00,000+ courses, and completing 90,000+ learning modules on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
Shri Rajeev Verma, Chief Secretary, Chandigarh, directed all departments to expedite onboarding and course completion and proposed a review meeting under his chairmanship to track progress.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward transforming governance through continuous learning and upskilling under Mission Karmayogi.
