Capacity Building Plan (CBP) Development Workshop Successfully Concluded at Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute. Shillong, Meghalaya

Prior to the SADHANA SAPTAH schedule to be held from 2nd- 8th April 2026, CBC’s team led by Shri Maibam Warish, has successfully conducted the Capacity Building Plan (CBP) development workshop for 60+ departments and directorates of government of Meghalaya on 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th & 9th March 2026, at the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI), Shillong.

The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Swapnil Tembe, IAS, Director, MATI, who emphasized the importance of continuous upskilling of state public servants under the National Programme for Civil Service Capacity Building (NPCSCB) – Mission Karmayogi. The welcome address was delivered by Smt. Loreta D. Nongbri-Assistant Director & State Nodal Officer-MK.

Key highlights:

  • Comprehensive orientation on NPCSCB-Mission Karmayogi, the role of Capacity Building Commission (CBC), KB, and DoPT by Shri Maibam Warish (State Programme Coordinator, CBC) and Shri Gaurav Pandey (CBC).
  • Hands-on training and live demonstration of the i-GOT AI Tool for competency mapping and CBP development.
  • Participation of 184 Nodal Officers who developed final draft department’s/Directorate’s-specific CBPs.

Major Outcomes:

  • Completion of departmental competency mapping for all designated R&R using i-GOT AI tool.
  • Course generation and selection of designation-specific courses.
  • Detailed gap analysis and drafting of CBPs for 42+ departments and Directorates.
  • Final review through presentations on role mapping, implementation challenges, and way forward.

The workshop concluded with clear guidance for the State-Level CBP Launch event post approval by respective Heads of Departments/Secretaries. This workshop marks a significant milestone in institutionalizing capacity building initiatives in the state.
