Capacity Building Commission organises National Workshop on “Future Readiness of Central Training Institutes”.
Training Institutes need to reimagine, revamp and re-define their roles in ever evolving training eco-system, says Ms S Radha Chauhan, Chairperson CBC at the inaugural session. She added that training needs to be dynamic focussing on learning, unlearning and re-learning. The Chairperson highlighted the significance of human element that needs to play its role in meeting the aim of citizen-centric governance for Viksit Bharat, within the overall technology-driven environment.
Ms Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor, CBC made a detailed presentation on the future readiness of Central Training Institutes. She shared that now five (5) CTIs are rated 5-star as per the NSCSTI 2.O framework. She added that focus now moves beyond ratings towards Centres of Excellence, Competency-driven training and citizen-centric outcomes.
Former Chairman, CBC, Sh Adil Zainulbhai while addressing virtually said that going ahead, TIs need to aim for becoming five-star rated world-class training institutes; collaborate among themselves and with educational institutes & think tanks; and become leaders in integrating physical & digital training eco-system.
Mr. Rakesh Verma, COO, KB, introduced the AI-enabled CBP tool, highlighting its potential to support institutes in designing competency-driven training plans aligning with the dynamic needs of Training Institutes, MDOs.
Key feature of the workshop were three parallel breakout sessions, which enabled focused deliberations on critical aspects of future readiness on the topics Building Excellence through Roles, Responsibilities, and Technology-Enabled Training Quality, Strengthening the NSCSTI Framework & Enabling Resource Pooling and Enhancing Courses on iGOT through AI tools & Domain Course Identification. The sessions were moderated by the Principal Advisor, CBC, Ms Chandralekha Mukherjee and senior faculty from CTIs, including, Ms Madhavi Das, DG, NCA-F, Ms Shanmuga Priya Mishra, Deputy Director (Sr), LBSNAA, Ms Archana Gopinath, Joint Director, RAKNPA, Sh Rakesh Verma, COO, KB, Ms Uma S., Advisor, CBC & other team members from CBC. The findings from breakout sessions were presented before the audience leading to convergence on actionable recommendations and implementation pathways.
Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Admin), CBC complimented all groups for their active engagement during discussions. She said that the institutes should not only sustain standards, but should play the role of mentors. She appealed that we should ensure that all of us come together.
