Arunachal Pradesh takes a step towards citizen-first governance!

On 4th August 2025, the Rashtriya Karmayogi Large Scale Jan Seva Program was officially launched in Itanagar by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu, marking a key milestone in the state’s journey towards strengthening public service delivery under the vision of Mission Karmayogi.

The launch event was attended by several senior dignitaries, including Shri Manish Gupta, Chief Secretary, Government of Arunachal Pradesh; Dr. R Balasubramaniam, Member (Human Resources), Capacity Building Commission; Shri S P Roy, Joint Secretary, Capacity Building Commission; and Shri Vivek HP, Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, along with Secretaries and Heads of Departments from across the state administration.

Speaking at the event, Dr. R Balasubramaniam shared the program’s vision to build a more empathetic, citizen-centric civil service by training over 7,00,000 government officials across the country. He also highlighted the relevance of key Mission Karmayogi initiatives such as Gyaan Kosh and Indian Knowledge Systems for the governance ecosystem of Arunachal Pradesh.

In his keynote address, the Hon’ble Chief Minister reaffirmed the state’s commitment to capacity building and formally launched the Jan Seva Program, underscoring its importance in empowering civil servants to deliver better outcomes for citizens.

This marks a significant step forward in advancing a responsive, accountable, and people-first civil service.
