Member (HR), Capacity Building Commission, Dr. R Balasubramaniam visited All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore and address the staff there on 4th December, 2025. He stressed on imbibing the spirit of continuous learning, bringing about the behavioural change, becoming future-ready and to encourage & derive benefit by cross-pollination of ideas and collaboration.
His address also covered concepts of Vikas, Garv, Kartavya and Ekta, principles of Swadhyaya, Sahkaryata, RajyaKarma and Swadharma besides adoption of Indian Knowledge Systems and Quotes from Indic literature.
A brief presentation about the Institute was made by the Director, AIISH, covering governance aspects and the Institute’s work across four verticals-manpower development, clinical services, research, and public education in the area of communication (speech and hearing). This was followed by visits to the Departments of Special Education, Clinical services, Centre for Public Education in Communication Disorders (CPEC-D) and department of Prevention of Communication Disorders.
The Visit concluded with the Member (HR), CBC addressing the Officers of the Institute, followed by an interactive session. During the visit, the AIISHians of the Year 2025 were presented awards by Member (HR), CBC.
AIISH has achieved 98.4% staff coverage under the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Sewa (RKJS) program by CBC, and has developed 18 domain-specific courses for the KB in the domain of health.
