Capacity Building Commission (CBC) facilitated an Industry Immersion program at Siemens on the topic 'Industry 4.0 with a defence lens" for officials of Defence PSUs including shipyards such as Mazagon Docks Limited (MDL), Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL). 

Siemens demonstrated cutting-edge digital transformation interventions it has implemented in its brownfield factory to turn it around from a bleeding plant to a benchmark in "Factory of the Future". DPSU officials experienced the Global Data Monitoring & Remote Analysis Center (GAVATAR) which tracks energy and carbon data coming from all site locations through KPIs. Participants also learned about leveraging Digital Twin technologies in processes, shop floor management, and Industrial Additive manufacturing technologies along with Robot integration
