Under #MissionKarmayogi, the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), in collaboration with the Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Government of Uttar Pradesh, conducted a 2-day orientation workshop on Capacity Building of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of the state. With over 700 participants, the workshop reflected Uttar Pradesh's commitment to building future-ready #governance systems.

The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Anuj Jha, Secretary, Urban Development Department, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Alka Mittal, Member (Administration), CBC, set the tone by emphasizing the importance of a continuous learning mindset as #UttarPradesh aspires to become a $1 trillion economy by 2029.

Shri S P Roy, Joint Secretary, CBC, delivered a compelling session on the vision and progress of Mission Karmayogi, followed by an interactive introduction to the #iGOTKarmayogi platform by Shri Rakesh Verma, Chief Executive Officer, Karmayogi Bharat—empowering officials with access to anytime-anywhere digital learning.

The workshop was also graced by Shri AMRIT ABHIJAT, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, Uttar Pradesh, who urged officials to actively pursue their learning journeys and apply their knowledge for on-ground impact.

The sessions reinforced continuous growth, innovation, and citizen-centric service delivery—marking a key milestone in institutionalising a structured capacity building ecosystem for ULBs in Uttar Pradesh.
