On Feb 10, 2025, the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutes (NSCSTI)Workshop was conducted as part of the consultative process to update the #NSCSTI accreditation framework. The workshop aimed to gather comprehensive feedback from all stakeholders, including training institutes, onsite assessors, & desktop assessors, to refine the framework’s 8 pillars. A total of 40 training institutes participated, including 6 Administrative Training Institutes(ATIs) & 15 Central Civil Service Training Institutes(CTIs).
The event was chaired by Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, CBC who emphasized importance of this reiterative process in developing a framework that is both accessible for training institutes & aspirational in driving continuous improvement.
Dr. R Balasubramaniam, Member (HR), Capacity Building Commission, spoke to the institutes about the various initiatives under the Commission aimed @ strengthening & facilitating the capacity building of civil service training institutes across the country.
To facilitate in-depth discussions, institutes were divided into 3 breakout groups, each focusing on specific pillars of framework.
Group 1 was led by Sh. Adil Zainulbhai, Group 2 by Smt. V. Lalithalakshmi (CEO, Karmayogi Bharat), & Group 3 by Dr. Alka Mittal (Member Admin, CBC). Participants deliberated on which aspects of the framework should be retained & proposed modifications to enhance its effectiveness.Each group then presented their insights to larger gathering, exchanging notes & identifying key problem areas.
The valuable feedback gathered from workshop will be incorporated into revised framework,which is set to be rolled out in May 2025,ensuring it remains both relevant & progressive for training institutes across the country.
