Dr Alka Mittal, Member (Administration), CBC, along with Shri Jagdeep Gupta, Secretary, CBC, and other officials, visited IIT Roorkee on 30th October 2026 for the signing of an MoU aimed at leveraging the Institute’s academic excellence, research capabilities, and domain expertise to strengthen capacity-building initiatives across government institutions and public sector enterprises.

As part of the MoU signing ceremony, a Joint Consultative Roundtable Conference was organised, chaired by Dr. Alka Mittal and co-chaired by Dr. Nalin Shingal, former CMD, BHEL. The conference brought together industry representatives, IIT Roorkee faculty and researchers for meaningful deliberations on collaborative research, knowledge-sharing, domain-specific training and future-ready competencies. Shri Sumeet Singh, Director, CBC, presented the proposed way forward for translating the partnership into concrete collaborative initiatives.

The collaboration marks another step towards strengthening institutional capabilities through the integration of government priorities, academic excellence, and industry expertise, in the spirit of Mission Karmayogi and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
