Building a Citizen-Centric Workforce in Chhattisgarh through Mission Karmayogi

Chhattisgarh is taking a significant step towards strengthening the capacity and behavioural competencies of its officials through the rollout of Karmayogi Kartavya Karyakram under Mission Karmayogi.

The State has commenced its one-day SMT-led training programme, with 8 batches being conducted across departments, covering around 300 government officials in last week.

1. Medical Education
2. Commerce & Industries (2 Batches)
3. Directorate of Geology & Mining (2 batches)
4. Forest Department
5. Prison Department
6. Revenue & Disaster Management Department

The trainings are being facilitated by State Master Trainers (SMTs) from the respective departments, enabling experiential and behaviour-focused learning that strengthens the values, attitudes and competencies essential for effective public service delivery.

With the officials being the critical link between government and citizens, such initiatives are vital to fostering responsive, empathetic and citizen-centric governance.

The rollout in Chhattisgarh reflects the State’s commitment to embedding a culture of continuous learning, service excellence and outcome-oriented governance, aligned with the vision of Mission Karmayogi.

The Capacity Building Commission appreciates the participating departments, State Master Trainers and officials for their active commitment towards building a future-ready and citizen-centric civil service.
